Abstract
Objective To investigate the level of fear of disease progression and analyze its influencing factors in elder-ly patients after radical gastrectomy.Methods A total of 80 elderly patients undergoing radical gastrectomy in Hospital 986 of Air Force,Air Force Military Medical University from April 2019 to April 2023 were selected.According to presence or ab-sence of postoperative fear of disease progression,they were divided into fear group(n=53)and non-fear group(n=27).The general data of the two groups were analyzed by univariate analysis.Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the postoperative fear of disease progression.Results In this study of 80 elderly patients,the incidence of postopera-tive fear of disease progression was 66.25％.There were significant differences in filial situations,monthly family income per capita,preoperative visit,adjuvant chemoradiotherapy and family accompanying time between the two groups(P＜0.05).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that no preoperative visit and family accompanying time ≤5 times/week were in-dependent risk factor for fear of disease progression in elderly patients after radical gastrectomy(P＜0.05).Conclusion The incidence of fear of disease progression is higher in elderly patients after radical gastrectomy.In clinical practice,strengthening preoperative visits and increasing family accompanying can reduce postoperative fear of disease progression.关键词
