Overview of Coordinated Control Methods for Flywheel Energy Storage Array System

Abstract
It is difficult to increase the capacity of individual flywheel energy storage devices due to material,cost,and technological constraints,making it difficult to meet the problem of high power demand over long periods of time.In this regard,the author proposes to use flywheel arrays to increase the total energy storage capacity of the flywheel system,and reduces the development and production costs of the device.This paper provides a comprehensive review of flywheel energy storage array system topology,coordinated control strategy and coordinated control algorithm.Starting from the different grid-connected topologies of flywheel energy storage arrays,the power allocation control strategies applicable to DC bus-parallel and AC bus-parallel are explored;then,taking the parallel connection of flywheel energy storage arrays to the grid as an entry point,the centralized,master-slave,and distributed coordinated control algorithms are compared and summarized,with a focus on the advantages of the distributed consistency algorithm,and based on this,the advantages of the distributed coordination algorithm are further summarized based on the intelligent algorithm for efficiently solving the control problems.Intelligent algorithm efficiently solves the power distribution control strategy.Finally,the challenges of coordinated control for grid-connected operation of flywheel energy storage array systems are pointed out.关键词
