Abstract
As a common cultural symbol of the Chinese nation,the image of dragon has accumulated the spiritual core of unity and inclusiveness of the Chinese nation over thousands of years.The Hui dragon story is an imaginary tale derived from the Hui ancestors during the process of agricultural production to adapt to the natural climate,regional char-acteristics,and ethnic interaction.It mainly includes four types of stories:subduing the evil dragon,slaying the evil dragon,Dragon King's daughter's paying a debt of gratitude,and stories derived from the dragon image.During the pro-cess of localizing the dragon stories,the Hui people incorporate their own aesthetic feelings,enabling the dragon stories to convey unique ethnic characters.Its cultural origin has also witnessed the amicable communication among the Hui people and various ethnic groups and the mutual exchange and integration among various ethnic groups.Moreover,the dragon story has also become a window for the outside world to understand the Hui folk customs.关键词
