Effect of Cd2+Concentration on Formation of EPS Components in Aerobic Granular Sludge
为探究重金属Cd2+对好氧颗粒污泥系统运行的影响,采用紫外分析法和三维荧光光谱分析法研究了 SBR反应器中不同浓度的重金属Cd2+对好氧颗粒污泥EPS总量以及各组分(LB-EPS、SB-EPS、TB-EPS)的产生与组成成分的影响.试验结果表明:低浓度Cd2+(小于0.1mg/L)促进EPS的产生,高浓度Cd2+(大于3mg/L)抑制EPS的产生;SB-EPS随着Cd2+浓度的增加逐渐减少,其中蛋白质含量增加,多糖、腐殖酸明显减少;当Cd2+浓度小于0.1mg/L时TB-EPS显著增加,其中主要增加的成分是蛋白质;当Cd2+浓度大于3mg/L时,TB-EPS的分泌受到抑制,但蛋白质含量仍高于空白对照组,多糖、腐殖酸含量显著降低;LB-EPS受到的影响因素较多,其含量变化不规律.采用扩展DLVO理论剖析了 EPS各组分含量的变化对好氧颗粒污泥沉降性能的影响,以期为好氧颗粒化技术在工业废水处理中的应用提供有力的支持.
In order to investigate the impact of heavy metal Cd2+on the functionality of aerobic granular sludge systems,this paper adopted UV and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy to study the effects of varying concentrations of Cd2+on the aggregation and composition of aerobic granular sludge in an SBR reactor.Specifically,the analysis focused on the extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)components,including loosely bound EPS(LB-EPS),soluble EPS(SB-EPS),and tightly bound EPS(TB-EPS).The experimental results demonstrated that low concentrations of Cd2+(less than 0.1 mg/l)enhanced the production of EPS,while high concentrations(greater than 3 mg/1)inhibited its production.As the Cd2+concentration increased,the SB-EPS content gradually decreased,with a notable increase in protein content and a significant decrease in polysaccharides and humic acid.When the Cd2+concentration was below 0.1 mg/L,TB-EPS increased significantly,primarily due to an increase in protein composition.However,when Cd2+concentration exceeded 3 mg/l,the secretion of TB-EPS was suppressed,although the protein content remained higher than in the control group.Polysaccharides and humic acid content decreased significantly.LB-EPS was influenced by numerous factors,resulting in irregular changes in its content.This study utilized the extended DLVO theory to analyze the impact of changes in EPS component content on the settling performance of aerobic granular sludge,aiming to provide robust support for the application of aerobic granulation technology in industrial wastewater treatment.
