Abstract

Gas is one of the common factors causing major casualty accidents in coal mines.In order to accurately predict the gas content and its distribution of the main mined coal seam in Xiangshan Mine,and guide the safety production of the mine,based on the gas content test data of 74 sampling boreholes in the early stage of the mine,the single factor analysis method is used to analyze the main factors affecting the gas content of the No.3 coal seam and the No.5 coal seam,and the weight analysis is carried out on the degree of influence.The burial depth of the coal seam is determined to be the most important influencing factor,and the thickness of breathability rock stratum such as sandstone within a certain range of the roof and floor is the second important influencing factor.Through comprehensive analysis of the influence situation of different factors,the gas content in the unexcavated area of the mine is predicted,and the gas content value in the No.3 coal seam is mainly concentrated between 4 and 9 m3/t,accounting for 82.8%.The gas content in the No.5 coal seam is mainly concentrated between 4 and 10 m3/t,accounting for 74.3%,higher than that of the No.3 coal seam,which is of great significance for guiding mine safety production.
