Abstract
Tailings pond is a place used to store tailings from metal and non-metal mines after ore sorting.It is a high-risk artificial debris flow source with high potential energy,and there is a risk of dam failure.Once a failure occurs,it can easily cause serious accidents.In 2008,the"9.8"tailings dam collapse accident at Xinta Mining in Xiangfen,Shanxi Province resulted in 277 deaths and a direct economic loss of 96.192 million yuan.The lessons learned from the accident were extremely painful.This article aims to study the safety management measures of tailings ponds,providing useful reference and guidance for the safety management of tailings ponds.关键词
