Development And Application of a Medical Adhesive-Associated Skin Damage Checklist for Elderly ICU Patients

Abstract
Objective:To explore and analyze the application effect of medical adhesive-related skin injury(MARSI)check-list in elderly patients in ICU.Methods:Based on evidence-based and Delphi method,a checklist for medical adhesive-re-lated skin injury of elderly patients in ICU was developed,and the reliability and validity of the checklist were tested.100 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were selected by convenient sampling method,50 patients who did not use the checklist from January to December 2022 were taken as the control group,and 50 patients who used the checklist from Jan-uary to December 2023 were taken as the observation group.The incidence of medical viscose-related skin injury,the risk rate of catheter detachment and the nursing satisfaction of family members were compared between the two groups.Re-sults:The checklist of medical adhesive-related skin injury for elderly patients in ICU included 4 verification opportunities and 19 items,and Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.971.This checklist has good reliability and validity,and it can be formally applied after being verified by clinical trials.The incidence of MARSI in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,P<0.05.The risk rate of catheter detachment in observation group was lower than that in control group,P<0.05.The nursing satisfaction of family members in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:The application of medical adhesive-related skin injury checklist in elderly patients in ICU can reduce the incidence of medical adhesive-related skin injury and the risk rate of catheter detachment,and improve the nursing satis-faction of family members.关键词
