Investigation of Urinary Tract Infection in Long-term Hospitalized Schizophrenic Patients

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the urinary tract infection of long-term inpatients with schizophrenia.Methods:203 schizophrenic patients admitted to Shanghai Huangpu Mental Health Center from March 2000 to March 2020 were investi-gated,and the urinary tract infection of all patients was analyzed,and the influencing factors of urinary tract infection were summarized.Results:Among 203 patients,56 cases had urinary tract infection,the prevalence rate was 27.59%,and Gram-negative bacteria were the most common pathogens,accounting for 69.01%.Urinary tract infection in long-term inpa-tients with schizophrenia is related to age、sex、length of hospitalization、physical illness(diabetes in women and prostate disease in men)、bed rest、water consumption and poor control of mental illness symptoms(P<0.05).Conclusion:The u-rinary tract infection of long-term inpatients with schizophrenia is mainly caused by gram-negative bacteria,so it is nec-essary to pay special attention to the infection of Escherichia coli,Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecalis,and carry out appropriate drug treatment according to the results of drug sensitivity test.At the same time,targeted intervention measures should be given to the influencing factors of urinary tract infection in patients.关键词
