Abstract
After the meeting of the three main forces of the Red Army,the Kuomintang's"encirclement and suppression"of the Red Army continued to evolve,and the Red Army faced an extremely dangerous situation.In this context,Hu Zongnan's 78th Division went deep alone and was ambushed by the CPC and the Red Army in places such as Shanchengbao.The Battle of Shanchengbao was an important battle dur-ing the critical period of the Kuomintang's"encirclement and suppression"of the Red Army.The main reason for the failure in this battle was the lack of coordination and cooperation among the various armies of the Kuomintang.After the battle of Shanchengbao,the confrontation between the Kuomintang and the CPC continued to escalate.In this sense,it is inappropriate to overestimate the Battle of Shanchengbao.Chiang Kai-shek and Hu Zongnan deeply reflected on the battle and adjusted their strategic deployment after the Battle of Shanchengbao.Due to the outbreak of the Xi'an Incident,the confrontation between the Kuomintang and the CPC ended and domestic peace was achieved.关键词
