摘要

Abstract

[Objective]The study aims to characterize CPP gene family in foxtail millet(Setaria italica L.)and analyze their response to exogenous selenium treatment,in order to provide materials for the breeding of new foxtail millet varieties with high selenium and folate.[Methods]This study used bioinfor-matics tools to identify the CPP gene family members in foxtail millet,and used qRT-PCR to detect their expression levels in different tissues under exogenous selenium treatment.[Results](1)9 CPP genes were identified in foxtail millet genome,which were distributed on 6 chromosomes,named SiCPP1-SiCPP9,respectively.These genes were located in the nucleus.The proportion of random coil in protein secondary structure was the largest.(2)The CPP protein in foxtail millet could be divided into four sub-families,and the number and distribution of conserved motifs and domains were similar among the same subfamilies.(3)Cis-acting element analysis found that the SiCPP genes had a large number of light,growth and development-related,and hormone and stress response elements.(4)SiCPP genes were ex-pressed differently in roots,stems,leaves,and ears,and SiCPP5,SiCPP6,SiCPP7 and SiCPP8 showed the strongest response to exogenous selenium.[Conclusion]SiCPP genes show tissue-specific ex-pression and respond to exogenous selenium to varying degrees.
