Effects of Self-designed Acne Decoction Combined with Red and Blue Light and Fire Acupuncture on Peripheral Inflammatory Factors IL-17,IL-18 and IFN-γ in Patients with Moderate and Severe Facial Acne

Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of a self-designed acne decoction combined with red and blue light irradiation and fire needle therapy in the treatment of moderate to severe facial acne,and to explore its possible mechanism of action.Methods A total of 99 patients with moderate to severe facial acne were selected from the Department of Dermatology of the author's hospital from August 2020 to June 2022.They were randomly divided into three groups using the random number table method.Group A(n=33)was treated with the self-designed acne decoction combined with red and blue light and fire acupuncture,Group B(n=33)was treated with red and blue light combined with fire acupuncture,and Group C(n=33)was treated with the self-designed acne decoction.All groups received treatment for 3 months.The clinical efficacy,changes in inflammatory factors,and skin lesion scores before and after treatment were compared among the three groups.Results The overall effective treatment rate in Group A was significantly higher than that in Groups B and C(P＜0.05),with a more pronounced decrease in lesion scores(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-17(IL-17)and interleukin-18(IL-18)were significantly reduced in all three groups(P＜0.05),while the level of interferon-γ(IFN-γ)was significantly increased(P＜0.05).Group A exhibited the most significant changes,with statistically significant differences compared to Groups B and C(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events among the three groups(P＞0.05),and all adverse events were mild,not affecting the treatment process after symptomatic treatment.Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with moderate to severe facial acne,the self-designed acne decoction combined with red and blue light and fire acupuncture shows more advantages in improving skin lesions and regulating levels of inflammatory factors in peripheral blood compared to other conventional treatments.关键词
