Pharmacological treatment for hypertension
摘要
Abstract
Hypertension is one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide,significantly increasing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart failure,myocardial infarction,and stroke.While lifestyle interventions can reduce blood pressure to some extent and reduce overall cardiovascular risk,most hypertension patients require additional antihypertensive medication to achieve optimal blood pressure control.Today,the field of pharmacological treatment for hypertension has seen significant progress in both concepts and methods.In addition to the five major classes of classic antihypertensive drugs,single-pill compound and many new antihypertensive agents have been developed.This article will provide a brief review of the current status and progress in the pharmacological treatment for hypertension.关键词
