Abstract
Objective To clarify the detailed staffing needs for nurses inoncology day care unite and to explore human resource allocation strategies.Methods From July 24 to 30,2023,a direct time study-intensive sampling method was used to assess the nursing workload in the oncology day care unite of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital.An assessment form for daily workload was developed,observers were trained,and the duration of nursing tasks was evaluated to determine the required number of nurses and their distribution ratio in the unite.Results A total of 52 nursing tasks were identified in the oncology day care unite,including 34 direct care tasks and 18 indirect care tasks.Based on the calculations,the required number of nurses for the oncology day care unite was found to be11,with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1∶0.2.Conclusions This study provides a preliminarily calculation of the appropriate nurse staffing ratio for the oncology day care unite,providing an objective basis for nursing management and human resource allocation.关键词
