Abstract

Oil and gas pipeline long-term service will appear in the ring weld defects,which is caused by oil and gas pipeline safety accidents,one of the main reasons,in-service welding repair is to ensure that the normal service of the pipeline to ensure the normal production of important measures.In recent years,B-type sleeve repair technology has gradually become an important technical means to solve the defects of the pipeline ring weld by virtue of its short repair cycle,low cost and wide range of advantages.This paper summarizes the practical application of B-type sleeve repair technology at home and abroad,and focuses on the common problems of burn-through and hydrogen cracking in the welding process of natural gas pipelines in service.The study shows that the minimum wall thickness should be 6.4 mm,reasonable control of welding heat input,the use of low-hydrogen electrodes,the implementation of preheating before welding and other measures can effectively reduce welding defects and improve the safety and reliability of pipeline repair.
