Time-Invariant Topology and Waypoint Routing in Mega LEO Constellations

Abstract
LEO satellite networks are a critical component of 6G space-ground integrated communication,offering advantages such as low cost and wide coverage,but also presenting technical challenges like high dynamics and frequent handovers.Although satellite motion follows predictable patterns and the time-varying nature of constellations is regular,the large scale of space-based networks far exceeds that of terrestrial networks,making traditional Internet routing technologies inadequate.By applying snapshot transformations and virtual node methods,using satellites and inter-satellite links as reference frames,a time-invariant topology for mega LEO constellations is derived through a three-step position transformation and polar region contraction process.The suitability of a complete grid topology is demonstrated,and a waypoint routing mechanism is employed to design a local satellite fixed-routing algorithm.The isomorphism between grid constellations and cyclic graphs is also established,providing insights for further structural optimization.关键词
