Research Progress on Genetics and Breeding in Leizhou Goat
摘要
Abstract
Leizhou goat mainly distributes in the Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan Island in Guangdong,and is an excellent local breed in western Guangdong,a national geographic protected breed in China,and one of the main meat goat breeds in Guangdong.At present,the Leizhou goat population is facing problems such as breed degradation,poor economic traits and individual stability,which brings great challenges to the high-quality development and genetic breeding of Leizhou goat industry.This paper discusses the breed characteristics of Leizhou goat,systematically clarifies the genetic regulation of muscle growth and development,reproduction and coat color traits of Leizhou goat,summarizes the existing problems in breeding and analyzes the future direction of Leizhou goat genetics and breeding research,aiming to comprehensively understand the latest achievements and frontier trends of Leizhou goat genetic breeding research,and provide a scientific basis for further promoting the genetic improvement and optimization of this breed.关键词
