Research Progress on Three-dimensional Chromatin Conformation in Spermatogenesis

Abstract
Chromatin plays a vital role in the transmission of genetic information across generations and serves as a critical medium for the precise regulation of gene and protein expression within cells.The study of chromatin structure has been significantly enhanced by the continuous progress in scientific technology,particularly through high-throughput chromatin conformation capture(High-through chromosome conformation capture,Hi-C)technology,especially there is a clear understanding of chromatin compartments,chromatin territories,etc.Throughout the process of spermatogenesis,there is a significant alteration in the chromatin structure,which is of great significance for the regulation of gene expression.Spermatogenesis is a complicated process that includes spermatogonia differentiation,spermatocytes meiosis,spermatids spermiogenesis and final release of spermatozoa.This review primarily focuses on the three-dimensional chromatin conformation capture technology and its associated methodologies,the hierarchical organization of chromatin,and the progress of 3D conformational changes of chromatin during spermatogenesis,providing new ideas for studying the mechanism of spermatogenesis.关键词
