Dissolution and Regeneration of Cellulose and Waste Wool in Ionic Liquid

Abstract
The dissolution and regeneration of cellulose pulp and waste wool were studied using ionic liquid 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([AMIM]Cl) as solvent and deionized water as coagulation bath.The dissolution processes of cellulose and wool were observed using a polarizing microscope,and the influence of different temperatures on their dissolution performance was explored.The structure and properties of the regenerated organisms were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).The research results indicated that[AMIM]Cl could effectively dissolve both cellulose pulp and waste wool under certain conditions,and the addition of cellulose helped to regenerate waste wool into membrane-like materials.In addition,the regenerated cellulose/wool blend membrane exhibited good thermal stability.关键词
