Abstract
Based on the methods of patent and social network analysis,this paper,taking the field of artificial intelligence(AI)as the research object,makes an in-depth excavation of patent applications in the field of artificial intelligence of 11 oil companies from the dimensions of the current status of technological development,the layout of key technologies,the structure of the patent cooperation network,and the trend of evolution.The study shows that the patents in the field of AI in the oil and gas industry have shown an explosive growth trend,the growth of patents of China's three major state-owned oil companies and the three major international oil engineering and technology service companies is particularly significant,China,the United States,and Canada are the three leading countries with the most applications of artificial intelligence patents,patents in the field of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas industry are mainly concentrated in the directions of drilling and physical exploration,and image recognition,seismic data imaging,drilling tools,logging curves,as well as completion tubing columns are the hot spots of research at this stage,China's three major state-owned oil companies are among the top three patent cooperation companies,and patent cooperation has become an important trend in the field of patent applications in the field of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas industry.It is recommended that Chinese oil and gas companies continue to increase R&D efforts in the field of AI in the oil and gas industry,strengthen basic research and application exploration of combining AI with drilling and physical exploration,and enhance cooperation in the field of AI among oil companies as well as with universities and research institutes.关键词
