Abstract

With the rapid development of aquaculture industry,the demand for food microalgae increases,and the large-scale production of food microalgae using high CO2 has attracted much attention.In this study,seawater and freshwater Chlorella vulgaris were cultured in three high-concentration CO2 environments,and the growth rate,pig-ment content and biochemical component content of the two Chlorella vulgaris were compared.The results showed that high concentration of CO2 could significantly promote the growth rate of the two Chlorella vulgaris species,and compared with the contents of single cell biochemical components,there was a significant difference in the contents of intracellular biochemical components of the two species when the concentration of CO2 was 5%.The soluble sug-ar content of seawater Chlorella vulgaris was the highest,which was(5.38±0.45)pg/cell,which was significantly higher than that of freshwater Chlorella vulgaris species.The soluble protein content of freshwater Chlorella vulgaris was the highest(6.25±0.21)pg/cell,which was significantly higher than that of Marine Chlorella vulgaris.The accumulation of soluble protein content was negatively correlated with the accumulation of soluble sugar content,and 5% CO2 concentration could be used as the concentration index for the production of soluble sugar and protein from the two Chlorella vulgaris species.
