A Study of Pagoda Architecture in the Glorious Age of Tang Dynasty from Mogao Grottoes Murals
摘要
Abstract
Based on analyzing the distribution of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes pagoda murals in different dynasties,the types and development patterns of pagodas in Mogao Grottoes murals in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty are summarized.In terms of form,color and ornamentation,the pagoda architecture in Mogao Grottoes murals is compared with that of the existing wooden pagodas,masonry pagodas,and brick and wood pagodas in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty,so as to find out the similarities and differences.The influences of the pagoda architecture in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty on the subsequent pagoda architecture and modern architecture are analyzed.The design methods for the inheritance and development of the pagod architecture in the glorious age of Tang Dynasty in the context of modern design are proposed.关键词
