Abstract
Dalian Chain-Store Street built in 1930 is an advanced commercial and residential neighbourhood in the first half of the 20th century,which has important historical,technological and cultural research value as a modern built heritage.Through analysing documents,drawings and video texts,the article compiles historical information,summarises the types and summarises the design patterns and motives of the Dalian Chain-Store Street storefront design.The study shows that,firstly,the Chain-Store Street has an international style and regional characteristics,and the shop front design reflects the Western modernism of the same period and improved for the climate of Dalian;secondly,the design process embodies the new concepts of early neighbourhood style control and public participation design.关键词
