Abstract
Objective:To investigate the current status of hospice care knowledge and its relevant factors among medical staff in Huicheng District of Huizhou.Methods:A questionnaire survey on hospice care knowledge was conducted using stratified whole group sampling method to select 3,284 medical staff in Huicheng District of Huizhou.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the correlates of hospice care knowledge scores.Results:The total hospice knowledge score of medical staff in Huicheng District was(64.0±14.8).Multiple linear regression analyses showed that medical staff whose home location was prefecture-level city(β=2.933),education level was undergraduate(β=2.479),institution type was public second-level or lower hospital(β=2.416),and professional title was senior(β=6.753)had a high score of hospice care knowledge(all P<0.05).Those with 10 to<15 years of work experience(β=-2.219),positions as nurses(β=-2.057),medical technicians(β=-5.816),administrative and logistic staff(β=-7.381),and those with no hospice care work experience(β=-3.074)had low hospice care knowledge scores(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Medical staff in Huicheng District of Huizhou possess a certain amount of hospice care knowledge.Family location,cultural level,type of institution,years of work experience,title,nature of position,and hospice care work experience are all relevant factors in the hospice care knowledge score of medical staff.关键词
