Multiple correspondence analysis of chronic disease indicators and TCM constitution in physical examination population

Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between chronic disease index and traditional Chinese medicine physique.Methods:736 subjects who received physical examination in the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from March to May 2023 were selected as the research objects,and the data of physical examination,laboratory examination and traditional Chinese medicine physique determination were collected on the physical examination day.The correlation analysis of classified data was used to explore whether there was a correlation between chronic disease indicators and traditional Chinese medicine physique,and what kind of correlation between the two employing multiple correspondence analysis.Results:There was a correlation between chronic disease index and TCM physique(P<0.001).The results of multiple correspondence analysis showed that high uric acid,two or more abnormal indexes were associated with phlegm and damp and hot quality,and tended to occur in male and obese groups.Hyperlipidemia was associated with Yin deficiency,and tended to occur in overweight population>44 years old.Hypertension and hyperglycemia were associated with blood stasis.Women with no abnormal indicators,≤44 years old,low or normal body mass were associated with peace quality,Qi deficiency quality,Yang deficiency quality,qi stagnation quality and characteristic quality.Conclusion:There are different correlations between chronic disease indexes and traditional Chinese medicine physique in the physical examination population,suggesting that attention should be paid to adjusting the biased physique of the physical examination population of different ages,genders and BMI levels in order to achieve the purpose of chronic disease prevention.关键词
