Clinical effect of hydrostatic enema in the treatment of pediatric intussusception

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of hydrostatic enema in the treatment of pediatric intussusception.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 230 children with primary intussusception admitted to Zigong First People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023.Among them,the children treated with ultrasound-guided hydrostatic enema reduction were included in the study group(118 cases),and the children treated with air enema reduction under X-ray were included in the control group(112 cases).The enema situation(success rate of reduction,rate of conversion to surgery,recurrence and re-enema rate within 72 hours),clinical symptom relief time(vomiting and abdominal pain relief time and anal defecation recovery time)were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in success rate of reduction,rate of conversion to surgery,recurrence and re-enema rate within 72 hours between the two groups(P>0.05).The vomiting and abdominal pain relief time and anal defecation recovery time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Hydrostatic enema in the treatment of pediatric intussusception has good clinical effect,which can accelerate the relief of clinical symptoms and promote the recovery of intestinal function,and is worth popularizing.关键词
