Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of endoscopic middle ear catheterization in the treatment of secretory otitis media in children. Methods A total of 76 children with secretory otitis media admitted to Yangxin County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into two groups by the random number table method. The control group(38 cases)received endoscopic tympanic membrane puncture, while the observation group(38 cases)received endoscopic middle ear catheterization. The clinical efficacy, hearing recovery, quality of life, and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of observation group was 94.74%(36/38),which was higher than 78.95%(30/38)in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The threshold of auditory brainstem evoked potential in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the scores of 36-item short form health survey questionnaire were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.26%(2/38),which was lower than 21.05%(8/38)in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic middle ear catheterization in the treatment of secretory otitis media in children has good clinical effect, which can promote children's hearing recovery, improve quality of life, and reduce complications.关键词
