Abstract
In view of the slow equalization speed and low energy transfer efficiency in the equalization process of series-connected lithium battery packs,a hierarchical equalization topology based on the buck-boost circuit is proposed.In this topology,the state of charge(SOC)of each single cell is taken as the equalization variable,and the equalization control strategy of the relative range method is adopted to achieve the simultaneous equalization of the equalization units in each layer.The overall structure of the improved equalization topology and the method of stratified grouping,the equalization principle of the smallest equalization unit,and the calculation process of the relevant parameters in the equalization process are described,and then the equalization control strategy is designed according to the designed stratified topology.The simulation models of different topologies are constructed in Matlab/Simulink and the equalization simulation verification is carried out.In comparison with the traditional single-layer equalization topology,the equalization speed of the proposed hierarchical equalization topology with relative range control strategy is improved by 86.06%and 84.21%,respectively,and its energy transfer efficiency is improved by 3.3%and 4.22%,respectively,in the different cases of 8 cells and 9 cells.To sum up,the effectiveness of the proposed equalization topology and the equalization strategy are verified.关键词
