Analysis of Onboard Carbon Capture Technologies and Standardization Development Needs

Abstract
In the context of greenhouse gas emission reduction from ships,onboard carbon capture system has become the focus of attention of international maritime legislative body,and shipping industry and industry as it can capture,separate and reuse carbon emissions in the shipping process,which will have an important impact on the Energy Efficiency Ship Index(EEDI,EEXI),the Carbon Intensity Indicator(CII),and Life Cycle GHG intensity of marine fuels.This paper summarizes the main technical routes of carbon capture systems,the special requirements of onboard systems,and the engineering pilot projects on an international scale.It clarifies the application prospect and key research direction of onboard carbon capture technology,and analyzes the main scenarios of standardization and the list of potential projects in the short and medium term based on the mechanism of standardization,and tries to give the key direction of standards construction.关键词
