Effect of Huaiqihuang Granules Combined with Tacrolimus Ointment on Atopic Dermatitis and Its Influence on Skin Lesion Recovery Status and Immune Function

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Huaiqihuang granule combined with tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of atopic dermatitis(AD)and its impact on skin lesion recovery and immune function after treatment.Methods Eighty patients with AD admitted to the author's hospital from January 2022 to May 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group(40 cases)and a control group(40 cases).The observation group was treated with Huaiqihuang granules combined with tacrolimus ointment,while the control group received tacrolimus ointment combined with loratadine tablets for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.The TCM symptom scores,efficacy[Scoring Atopic Dermatitis Index(SCORAD)],skin lesion recovery status[Eczema Area and Severity Index(EASI)],immune function,and incidence rate of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After 1 month of treatment,the scores of primary and secondary symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The SCORAD dimension scores were also lower in the observation group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was higher compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The EASI scores in the observation group were lower compared to the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of interferon-gamma(IFN-γ)and interleukin-2(IL-2)in the observation group were higher,while the level of interleukin-4(IL-4)was lower compared to the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the control group,although this difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Huaiqihuang granules combined with tacrolimus ointment is effective in treating AD.It not only significantly improves symptoms such as dry skin and itching but also enhances the immune function of patients.Additionally,it has a good safety profile.关键词
