Clinical Efficacy of Fire Needle Combined with Xiaocuo Decoction in the Treatment of Moderate and Severe Acne
摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of fire needle combined with Xiaocuo decoction in the treatment of moderate and severe acne. Methods Eighty patients with moderate to severe acne treated at the author's hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were enrolled and randomly assigned into two groups, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received tretinoin cream combined with Xiaocuo decoction, while the observation group(n=37)was treated with fire needle combined with Xiaocuo decoction. Both groups underwent treatment for 30 days. The Body image scale(BIS),Dermatology life quality index(DLQI),TCM syndrome score, clinical efficacy rate, and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, both groups showed a reduction in BIS and DLQI scores, with the observation group scoring lower than the control group(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome scores also decreased in both groups after treatment, with a more significant reduction observed in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The overall efficacy rate was 89.19% (33/37)in the observation group, higher than the 69.77% (30/43)in the control group(P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate was 4.65% in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(5.00% vs.12.50% )(P>0.05).Conclusion Fire needle combined with Xiaocuo decoction is effective in treating moderate and severe acne,as it can significantly improve skin condition, reduce TCM syndrome scores, and enhance quality of life, with a favorable efficacy and safety profile.关键词
