Abstract

Regional seismic hazard analysis is based on a deep understanding of the three key factors that control earthquake ground motion as source,propagation path and site conditions.These factors can be analyzed individually through the spectral decomposition of strong vibration records with the help of the Generalized Inversion Technique(GIT).By using fully parameterized GIT to invert 3338 sets of strong earthquake data from 397 earthquakes(magnitude 3 to 6.5)that occurred in Sichuan from 2007 to 2020.For regional site effects and taking into account the influence of bedrock fis-sures or weathering,the site amplification coefficients of 129 fixed strong earthquake stations in Sichuan are determined.For the medium attenuation parameters,the regional geometric attenuation average level is determined to be R-0.6,and the S-wave average quality factor is 150.33f 0.78.For earthquake source parameters,the average regional stress drop level is 9.25 MPa.The results of this paper can provide reasonable input parameters and data for ground motion modeling or stochastic S-wave simulation,thereby improving deterministic seismic risk assessment.
