Chinese Translation and Measurement of PROMIS Global Health Scale 7+2-Pediatric and Global Health Scale 7+2-Parent Proxy

Abstract
Objective To translate the Global Health Scale 7+2-Pediatric and Global Health Scale 7+2-Parent Proxy into Chinese and measure these two scales,aiming to enrich the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System(PROMIS).Methods First,the original scales were translated,back-translated,cross-cultural adapted and pilot-tested using the international Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy translation method(FACITtrans).Then,104 parents of children aged 5-7 years and 123 children aged≥8 years were selected to test the reliability and validity of these two scales and data were collected for Rasch analysis.Results For the PGH7+2-Pediatric,the total crude score was(35.46±5.00)points and the overall Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.863;for the PGH7+2-Parent Proxy,the total crude score was(36.71±4.44)points and the overall Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.843.For both scales,the confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated a good model fit;the correlation coefficients of standardized residuals were<0.7;item characteristic curves increased monotonically,supporting the feasibility of Rasch analysis.The Rasch model explained 81.7%and 83.9%of the total variation for PGH7+2-Pediatric and PGH7+2-Parent Proxy,respectively.However,their first component standardized residual eigenvalues were 2.7(>2.1),suggesting the possibility of multidimensionality.Conclusion Both Chinese versions of these two scales can be used to evaluate the global health status of children as they exhibit good reliability and validity.However,some items need further cross-cultural adaptation.关键词
