Establishment and validity testing of the trauma pre-triage assessment scale

Abstract
Objective:To develop a trauma pre-triage assessment scale and test its reliability and validity,aiming to provide an efficient and accurate scientific evaluation tool for pre-triage assessment of trauma patients.Methods:Items were developed using the Delphi expert consultation method to create an initial assessment scale.From April to May 2023,612 emergency medical staff involved in trauma treatment from 14 Class A tertiary hospitals in Jiangsu Province were selected for reliability and validity analysis,resulting in the formal scale.In June 2023,306 emergency medical staff were selected for confirmatory factor analysis to evaluate the scale's fit.Results:The trauma pre-triage assessment scale includes basic vital signs assessment,injury mechanism assessment,and treatment mode evaluation,with a total of 26 items.The overall Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale is 0.941,the split-half reliability is 0.722,and the test-retest reliability is 0.932.The item-level Content Validity Index(I-CVI)is 0.846,and the scale-level Content Validity Index(S-CVI)is 0.975.Exploratory factor analysis extracted three common factors,with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 68.595％.Confirmatory factor analysis results indicate good structural fit and stability of the scale.Conclusion:The trauma pre-triage assessment scale demonstrates good reliability and validity,allowing for rapid and accurate evaluation of trauma patients'conditions.It is suitable for emergency trauma triage.关键词
