Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of removable active base appliance combined with spiral expander in the treatment of irreversible ectopic eruption of maxillary first permanent molar.Methods 50 children with irreversible ectopic eruption of maxillary first permanent molar were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was treated with modified Halterman appliance,and the study group was treated with removable active base appliance combined with spiral expander.The clinical parameters and root resorption of the second deciduous molar on the affected side were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the mesial inclination angle,embedding amount and complete eruption time of the first permanent molar in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the root resorption degree of the second deciduous molar on the affected side was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Removable active base appliance combined with spiral expander in the treatment of irreversible ectopic eruption of maxillary first permanent molar has significant effect.关键词
