Abstract
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)technology in the treatment of Grade Ⅲ exposed dog bite wounds.Methods A total of 90 patients with Grade Ⅲ exposed dog bite wounds who were treated at The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into a study group(n=45)and a control group(n=45)using a random number table method.The study group received routine debridement combined with VSD treatment,while the control group received routine debridement and dressing change treatment.Clinical indicators,pain levels,C-reactive protein(CRP)levels at different time points,and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results The study group had fewer dressing changes,shorter secondary suturing,swelling subsidence,wound healing,and hospital stay times compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The pain scores during dressing changes in the study group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in CRP levels between the two groups before treatment and 1 day after treatment(P＞0.05).CRP levels in both groups reached their highest values 2 days after treatment,and the CRP levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group from 2 to 5 days after treatment,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).During the 6-month follow-up,the incidence of complications in the study group(8.89%)was lower than that in the control group(24.44%),with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of routine debridement combined with VSD in the treatment of Grade Ⅲ exposed dog bite wounds can shorten wound healing time,reduce patient pain,and lower the incidence of wound infection and other complications.关键词
