Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on protective motivation theory(PMT)applied in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods 92 patients with DPN were randomly divided into two groups.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the observation group received nursing intervention based on PMT.The disease knowledge mastery,self-management behavior and blood glucose were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing,the disease knowledge mastery scores and SDSCA score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the levels of HbAlc,fasting blood glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Nursing intervention based on PMT can improve the mastery of disease knowledge of DPN patients,standardize their self-management behavior,and control the blood glucose levels.关键词
