摘要

Abstract

Methane emitted by ruminants mainly originates from the fermentation of feed in the rumen.Duo to the influence of various microorganisms in the rumen,the pathways of methane production are diverse and its regulatory mechanism is complex.Reducing rumen methane emissions through feed sources is one of the effective measures to improve feed energe utilization and benefit to the envioronment.Currently,the use of tannin additives or tannin-rich forages to reduce methane emissions is more commonly in animal production.However,there are large differences in the effect of reducing methane emissions due to the influence of tannin sources,chemical composition,additive amount and other factors.In this paper,we reviewed the relationship between the effects of tannins on rumen flora and metabolism and analyzed the mechanism of methane reduction,explored the regulatory role of tannins in rumen methane emission,and aimed to provide reference for the nutritional control measures to reduce methane production in ruminants.
