State of diagnosis and treatment of facial muscle synkinesis
摘要
Abstract
Facial muscle synkinesis is a serious sequela after facial nerve injury.The existence of synkinesis can lead to significant functional disorders involving facial expression,speech,mastication,social interaction and more,thus seriously affecting patients'quality of life.In recent years,progress has been made in understanding its pathogenesis,as well as its evaluation and treatment.Timely and effective evaluation and treatment play an important role in improving facial muscle dysfunction.This paper systematically reviews the application of facial muscle synkinesis evaluation scale,development and popularization of computer-aided diagnosis and rehabilitation systems,standardized injection of botulinum toxin,and surgical treatment of facial muscle synkinesis.关键词
