摘要

Abstract

Vestibular migraine(VM)is a common clinical disorder with vertigo as the main manifestation,and ab-normal trigeminal-vascular function is one of the main mechanisms in its pathogenesis.Activation of the trigeminal-vas-cular system to trigger an abnormal connection between trigeminal pain inputs and the vestibular nucleus is the core of this doctrine.The brain-gut axis(GBA)is involved in the pathogenesis of VM by influencing trigeminal-vascular func-tion via four pathways:vagal,neuroendocrine,immune and gut microbial.Stress,inflammatory mediators or other exter-nal stimuli may trigger central sensitization and activation of the trigeminal-vascular system through the GBA pathway in the presence of immune cells,such as mast cells,astrocytes and satellite glial cells,and transmitter molecules,such as glutamate,acetylcholine and serotonin,as well as gut microorganisms,can affect vestibulo-nuclei neurons via synapses,potentially contributing to the onset of VM.This paper contributes to further insight into the pathophysiological mecha-nisms of VM by investigating the correlation between VM and GBA at the trigeminal-vascular level.
