Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of the intervention of labor ball combined with COOK balloon to promote cervical maturation in women with full term induced labor.Method:A total of 132 term induced parturients admitted to the Wuxi People's Hospital from December 2001 to December 2004 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 66 cases in each group.The cases of control group were treated with the intervention of COOK balloon to promote cervical maturation,and the cases of observation group were given the intervention of childbirth ball and COOK balloon to promote cervical maturation.The indexes of cervical maturity,labor pain,psychological status,labor mode,labor duration and labor outcome of the two groups were observed.Result:After intervention,the scores of uterine opening,cervical tube regression,location of first presentation,cervical hardness and uterine opening in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The natural delivery rate and three labor stages in the observation group were better than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage,puerperal infection,postpartum urinary retention,neonatal asphyxia and neonatal Apgar score in the observation group were better than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The intervention of labor ball combined with COOK balloon to promote cervical maturity can significantly improve maternal negative emotions,effectively relieve maternal pain,promote cervical maturity,shorten labor time,improve the success rate of natural labor,and improve the outcome of labor.关键词
