Acupuncture Therapy for Functional Bowel Disorders Based on Neuroimaging Technology:A Systematic Review
摘要
Abstract
Objective To systematically review neuroimaging studies on the acupuncture treatment of functional bowel disorders(FBD)and explore the central mechanisms involved in the acupuncture treatment of FBD.Methods Five databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,Web of Science,EMBASE,and PubMed were retrieved.Studies focused on acupuncture treatment of FBD based on neuroimaging techniques were included.Research designs were analyzed and summarized, and the impact of acupuncture intervention on brain activity patterns in FBD patients was compiled. Results Out of 304 literatures screened,9 literatures were identified. These studies explored the central mechanisms of acupuncture treatment for FBD from both immediate and long-term effects. It was found that a single session of acupuncture significantly influenced brain activity in regions such as the cingulate cortex and thalamus in FBD patients.Course-based acupuncture treatment significantly modulated functional activities and connectivity patterns in regions like the anterior cingulate cortex, insula, and hippocampus in FBD patients. Conclusion Acupuncture may exert its therapeutic effects by modulating functional activities and connectivity patterns in areas such as the anterior cingulate cortex, insula, and thalamus in FBD patients.关键词
