Soil quality assessment in typical areas with difficulties in afforestation in Henan Province

[目的]准确评估人工造林对困难地土壤质量的影响,为困难地土壤质量的监测与提升提供理论依据.[方法]以洛阳市云梦山石质山地土壤为研究对象,分别采集 0~10、10~20 和 20~30 cm 土层的样本,综合选取11 项物理化学评价指标作为全数据集,采用相关性和主成分分析筛选确定土壤质量评价最小数据集,构建土壤质量指数对研究区的土壤质量进行评价.[结果]1)研究区土壤全氮及全碳的含量极低,平均值分别为 0.31 和2.61 mg·g-1.2)云梦山地区土壤质量的最小数据集包括土壤 pH值、脲酶、碳氮比和总孔隙度.最小数据集土壤质量指数为 0.037~0.604,平均值为 0.322.大部分样地的土壤质量指数都随着土层深度的增加而降低,且0~10 cm土层的土壤质量指数远高于其他土层,10~20 与 20~30 cm 土层的土壤质量指数较为接近.3)最小数据集与全数据集的土壤质量指数具有显著正相关关系(p<0.01),两者间的线性回归拟合程度较好(R2=0.63),表明构建的最小数据集可以较好反映研究区的土壤质量状况.[结论]根据土壤质量分级标准,云梦山石质山地土壤质量整体为中等偏低水平,且随土层深度增加显著降低,因此对深层土壤质量的改良是今后植被恢复和重建的重点区域.

[Objective]This study aims to accurately assess the impact of artificial reforestation on soil quality in areas with difficulties in afforestation,and provide a theoretical foundation for monitoring and enhancing soil quality in such regions.[Method]Taking the soil of rocky mountain area in Yunmeng Mountain,Luoyang City as the research object,soil samples from 0-10 cm,10-20 cm,and 20-30 cm soil layers were collected respectively,and 11 soil physical and chemical indicators were measured as the full dataset.The minimal dataset was selected using principal component analysis,and a soil quali-ty index was constructed to evaluate the soil quality in the research area.[Result]1)The total nitrogen and carbon content of the soil in the research area is extremely low,with average values of 0.31 and 2.61 mg·g-1 respectively;2)The minimal dataset indicators for soil quality in the Yunmeng Moun-tain area include:soil pH,urease content,carbon-to-nitrogen ratio,and total porosity.The minimal dataset soil quality index ranges from 0.037 to 0.604,with an average value of 0.322.The soil quality index for most plots decreases as soil depth increases,with the index for the 0-10 cm layer significantly higher than that of other layers.The indices for the 10-20 and 20-30 cm layers are relatively similar;3)The soil quality index of the minimal dataset has a significantly positive correlation with that of the full dataset,and the linear regression fit between the two is quite good(R2=0.63),indicating that the minimal dataset constructed this time can reflect the soil quality condition of the research area well.[Conclusion]According to the soil quality grading standards,the overall soil quality of the artificial forest land in Yunmeng Mountain is at a medium to low level,and it decreases significantly with the in-crease of soil depth.Therefore,improvement of deep soil quality is the key for vegetation restoration and reconstruction in these areas in the future.
