Determination of cigarette ash holding capacity and its relationship with free burning rate

为了定量评估卷烟的持灰能力,了解其现状并探索影响因素,对持灰能力的测定方法进行研究.对部分常规规格卷烟的持灰能力进行了测定及统计分析,并研究了持灰能力与卷烟自由燃烧速度间的关系.结果表明,基于全程录像和灰柱断裂瞬间图像分析的卷烟持灰能力测定方法具有准确的结果和良好的重复性.30 种不同牌号卷烟的持灰能力介于 36.28~48.01 mm之间,且不同牌号卷烟的持灰能力存在显著差异.此外,卷烟持灰能力与自由燃烧速度间呈显著的正相关关系.

In order to quantitatively evaluate the ash holding capacity of cigarettes,understand its current situation and explore the influencing factors,the determination method of the ash holding capacity was studied.The ash holding capacity of some conventional specifications of cigarettes was measured and statistically analyzed,and the relationship between the ash holding capacity and the free burning speed of cigarettes was studied.The results showed that a method for determining the ash holding capacity of cigarette was established based on the whole process video recording and image analysis at the moment of ash column breakage.The method was found to be ac-curate and reproducible.The ash holding capacity of 30 different brands of cigarettes ranged from 36.28 to 48.01 mm,with significant differences observed among different brands of cigarettes.Additionally,there was a significant positive correlation between ash holding capacity and free burning rate.
