The Effects of Electroacupuncture Combined with Repeated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Thalamic Pain after Stroke and the Influence on Pain Perception and Neuroprotection

Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture combined with repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation on thalamic pain after stroke.Methods:Sixty patients with thalamic pain after stroke admitted to Guangdong Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected and divided into control group and observation group with 30 patients in each group according to random num-ber table method.The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment,and the observation group was given acupuncture+re-peated transcranial magnetic stimulation+conventional western medicine treatment for 6 weeks.The clinical total response rate,pain,quality of life,mental state,balance ability,daily living ability,trunk control ability,mean middle cerebral artery blood flow velocity,serum pain-related factors were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than that of control group 73.33%(P<0.05).Compared with the control group at the same time after treatment,VAS scores in the observation group were significantly decreased,SF-36 scores were significantly increased,HAMD score was significantly decreased,BBS score,BI index and TCT score were signifi-cantly increased,VA and BA were significantly increased(P<0.05),serum SP and CGRP levels were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion:The electroacupuncture combined with repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation is effective in the treatment of thalamic pain after stroke,which can significantly reduce pain and depression,improve quality of life,and control the disease.It may play analgesic and neuroprotective effects by en-hancing cerebral blood flow and improving the expression of peripheral SP and CGRP.关键词
