Design and optimization of aeration control system for sewage treatment based on fuzzy control

Abstract
To address the issue of dissolved oxygen controlling in wastewater treatment plant aeration systems,this study proposed a variable-speed integral fuzzy Smith PID control,which improved the inte-gral component of the PID control method by introducing a fuzzy control algorithm combining with Smith predictive control.The results indicated that the variable-speed integral fuzzy Smith PID control method demonstrated superior performance in wastewater treatment plants.Through the study of the basic princi-ples of PID control,fuzzy control,and Smith predictive control,the different control ideas were combined in a certain way.The three control schemes for dissolved oxygen in the aeration system of wastewater plants were designed,including the traditional PID control,variable-speed integral PID control,and vari-able-speed integral fuzzy Smith PID control.Using the Simulink platform,a simulation system was built to compare the performance of each control process.The variable speed integral fuzzy Smith PID control-ler as a control system scheme had a certain degree of improvement in the rapidity and anti-interference.The research results can give effective support to the aeration system control in theory.关键词
