Sedimentary environment and development pattern of source rock in Shahejie Formation of Qinnan Sag in Bohai Sea

摘要

Abstract

High quality source rock is developed in Shahejie Formation of Qinnan Sag,and sedimentary environ-ment restoration of source rock is of great significance to determine the development pattern of source rock and char-acterize the heterogeneity of source rock.Based on data of paleontology,major and trace elements,the sedimentary environment of Shahejie Formation is restored,and the development pattern of source rock is defined.The results show that paleoclimate was relatively warm and humid during sedimentary period of the third member of Shahejie Formation,and water body was fresh to brackish water with average depth of 28.46 m.During sedimentary period of the first and second member of Shahejie Formation,paleoclimate was dry and hot,and water body was brackish to semi-saline water with average depth of 13.03 m.Water body of Shahejie Formation all develop a reduction to strong reduction environment.The productivity of the third member of Shahejie Formation is high,and the lake basin is eu-trophic lake,while the productivity of the first and second member of Shahejie Formation is relatively high,and the lake is moderately eutrophic lake.Source rock in the third member of Shahejie Formation is controlled by warm and humid climate,high paleoproductivity and deep water with strong reducing environment,while the source rock in the first and second member of Shahejie Formation is controlled by dry and hot climate,high productivity and sa-line water and with strong reduction environment.The research provides guidance for resource potential evaluation and exploration target optimization in Qinnan Sag.
