Abstract
Since 2023,international oil companies(IOCs)have been continuously adjusting their energy transition strategies to adapt to the new global development situation.Radical transition companies,represented by bp and Shell,are abandoning their more radical energy transition strategies since 2020 and refocusing on oil and gas business.Meanwhile,conservative transition companies,including ExxonMobil and Chevron,continued to work on oil and gas and their overall strategy is to increase energy supply,boost oil and gas production,with a particular focus on unconventional oil and gas,deep-water oil and gas,and natural gas.It can be seen from the strategic adjustment of international oil companies that the traditional oil and gas business is the foundation of the energy transition of international oil companies and it is possible to meet the long-term sustainable development needs of clean energy projects only by relying on the performance generated by the operation of the traditional oil and gas business.It is recommended that China's oil companies focus on increasing oil and gas reserves and production in the medium and long term,follow the global trend of oil and gas exploration and development,vigorously explore and develop deepwater oil and gas,unconventional oil and gas,develop the whole LNG industry chain,actively participate in the global merger and acquisition market of oil and gas resources,and optimize the allocation of oil and gas resources,so as to further enhance their international influence and competitiveness.关键词
