Abstract
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, studying the architectural history of New China proves to be of significant value. This study, while establishing its thesis, specifically selects the major event of the 46th World Heritage Committee in 2024,which includes the Beijing Central Axis in the"World Heritage List",with a particular focus on the heritage component"Tiananmen Square and its Architectural Complex".This inclusion marks a milestone event in the systematic emergence of 20th-century heritage within China's World Cultural Heritage. The study posits that while New China's architectural history can be approached from various angles,a historical perspective necessitates an understanding that spans"yesterday, today, and tomorrow."Over a decade of Chinese practice in the preservation of 20th-century architectural heritage rightfully stands as a classic of modem Chinese civilization.Once these high-quality academic resources are transformed into a public architectural culture, the community and public's awareness of architectural heritage will significantly improve.Underscores the importance of using"Tiananmen Square and Architectural Complex"as a model to advance the research on the nomination of national historical and cultural cities across the country, especially in cities like Shenzhen, which are at the forefront of reform and opening up,striving to provide more modern civilization samples for the"World Heritage List"in terms of 20th-century heritage.关键词
