Abstract
Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of long-term prognosis of elderly patients with cleft tooth and chronic pulpitis treated by root canal and construct predictive model.Methods:Totally 223 teeth of elderly patients with cleft tooth and chronic pulpitis who received root canal treatment in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2019 were ret-rospectively included and the clinical characteristics and the 5-year postoperative follow-up were analyzed.Univariate and multivariate analysis of factors influencing long-term prognosis in elderly patients with cracked teeth and chronic pulpitis un-dergoing root canal treatment.Construction of a clinical prediction model for the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with cracked teeth and chronic pulpitis undergoing root canal treatment.Results:After 5 years of follow-up,201 teeth were effec-tively preserved,with an effective retention rate of 90.13%(201/223).The results of univariate analysis showed that the presence or absence of crown repair,crack depth,and periodontal probing depth may all be related to the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with cracked teeth and chronic pulpitis undergoing root canal treatment(P<0.05).The results of Logistic multivariate analysis showed that whether crown repair was performed,crack depth,and periodontal probing depth were all in-dependent factors affecting the long-term prognosis of elderly patients with cracked teeth and chronic pulpitis undergoing root canal treatment(P<0.05).Using independent influencing factors and P-value prediction probability of regression models to predict long-term prognosis of patients,the areas under the curves were 0.794,0.676,0.728 and 0.898,respectively.Con-clusion:The long-term prognosis of elderly patients with cracked teeth and chronic pulpitis undergoing root canal treatment may be related to whether crown repair is performed,the depth of the crack,and the depth of periodontal exploration.The data model constructed using the above three factors has shown good performance in predicting the retention of affected teeth,which is worth in-depth analysis in work.关键词
