Energy-Saving Scheme for Room Sub-Scenario Based on pRRU Point Control

Abstract
The energy consumption of 5G base stations has become one of the major costs in current communication network operations.To further enhance the efficiency of 5G room sub-scenario energy-saving schemes,this study leverages the structural characteristics of the 5G room sub-scenario network.We propose an accurate identification method for UE-attributed pRRUs and a minimal set of transmitting devices.Coupling this with traffic prediction and room business characteristics,a novel room energy-saving scheme based on pRRU spot control is introduced.This approach refines the energy-saving units from traditional cell-level to specific pRRU point-level,enabling active pRRUs with business demands within the same cell to remain operational for service perception,while others are turned offto maximize energy savings.Measured results indicate that the new scheme can save up to 20%energy while maintaining stable key perceptual indicators such as service rate and latency.关键词
